Hosting takes about a minute to set up. Here is the whole thing, start to finish.
1. Pick an episode
Open the home page and choose an episode from the list, or type the quiz code shown at the start of the video. Not sure which? Browse the episodes.
2. Choose where the video plays
- On this screen gives the tightest sync: cast the page to the TV or plug your laptop in.
- On a TV is for when the video is already playing somewhere else, such as YouTube on a smart TV. You press Start when the video says GO.
- Episodes without a video can be run from the host screen instead, question by question.
3. Share the game code
You get a short code. Everyone opens Quizzalong on their phone, enters the code and a team name, and appears in your lobby.
4. Press play
The video reads each question, the timer runs, and answers lock in from the phones. Points for being right, bonus points for being quick. Between questions you'll see the standings on the host screen.
5. Crown the winner
At the end the podium appears on the host screen and every phone shows its own result. You can download the full results, or start another game straight away.
Tips
- Teams of two or three work best: more chat, fewer phones.
- Turn the TV volume up; the countdown beeps are part of the fun.
- If the video is paused the clock pauses too, so loo breaks are fine.
- Register to keep your games and results in a dashboard.
