These terms apply when a business account pays for a Quizzalong plan by invoice instead of by card. They sit alongside the website terms and conditions, which continue to apply. By asking for an invoice you confirm that you are authorised to commit your organisation and that you accept these terms.
1. Who can pay by invoice
Paying by invoice is offered at our discretion to business accounts in the countries where we sell business plans. We may ask for information about your organisation before issuing an invoice, and may decline or withdraw invoice terms at any time, in which case the card options remain available.
2. How it works
- On your organisation page you choose a plan and the billing period (monthly or yearly), give the name and address the invoice should be made out to and an email address for it, and optionally a purchase-order reference.
- We check the request and issue the invoice, normally within one working day. Your plan is switched on the moment the invoice is issued, so you can use it straight away.
- The invoice is sent by email and is always available from your organisation page, where it can be printed or saved.
- You pay by bank transfer using the details on the invoice, quoting the invoice number.
3. Payment terms
- Invoices are payable in full within 30 days of the invoice date ("the due date"), in the currency shown on the invoice, without set-off or deduction. Bank charges are yours.
- Prices are those on the pricing page on the day the invoice is raised, plus VAT where it applies. The VAT rate and our VAT number, if any, are shown on the invoice.
- A purchase-order reference you give us is printed on the invoice for your convenience; the absence of a purchase order does not delay payment.
4. Late payment
- If an invoice is not paid by the due date we will send a reminder. If it remains unpaid 14 days after the due date, the plan is marked as payment overdue and we may suspend new uploads, new quizzes and new games until it is settled; games and content already created are not deleted.
- Where you are a business, we may charge statutory interest and compensation on late payment under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998, and we may decline further invoice terms.
- If an invoice remains unpaid 60 days after the due date we may end the plan, and we may refer the debt for collection; the costs of collection are added to the amount due.
5. Period, renewal and cancellation
- Each invoice covers one plan period: one month or one year from the day it is issued (or from the end of the current paid period if it is a renewal of the same plan).
- Invoiced plans do not renew automatically. Before the period ends you may ask for a new invoice; if you do not, the plan ends at the end of the paid period plus a short grace period, and the organisation drops to no plan (existing games still run).
- An invoice can be cancelled by us at your request before it is paid, if you have not yet used the plan; otherwise the full amount remains due. Payments are not refundable for the current period except where the law requires or where we fail to provide the service.
6. Changing plan
To move to a higher plan during an invoiced period, ask for a new invoice for the new plan; the new period starts when that invoice is issued and the unused part of the old period is credited against it. Moving to a lower plan takes effect at the next period.
7. Disputes
Tell us at within 14 days of the invoice date if you believe an invoice is wrong. We will look into it promptly; the undisputed part of the invoice remains payable by the due date.
8. General
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. They may be updated from time to time; the version in force when an invoice is requested applies to that invoice, and each invoice records the version you agreed to.
